Your Ministry Matters. Your Voice Belongs.

Join the Baptist Ministers Alliance of Greater Rochester

an ecumenical fellowship of men working together for a stronger, safer, and more compassionate Rochester.

You serve your congregation. You care for families. You preach, teach, pray, and help people through some of life’s most difficult moments.

You also need fellowship, encouragement, and relationships with others who understand the work of ministry.

The Baptist Ministers Alliance of Greater Rochester brings pastors and ministers together to strengthen one another, share resources, and serve our community. Rooted in the Baptist tradition and welcoming clergy from other Christian denominations, we believe our shared faith calls us to work together.

Why Become a Member?

Build Relationships That Support Your Ministry

Connect with fellow ministers who understand the joys, challenges, and responsibilities of your calling. Build relationships that provide encouragement, shared wisdom, and support beyond your own congregation.

Grow Through Shared Experience

Every minister has something to learn and something to offer. The Alliance brings together experience and perspectives that can strengthen leadership, pastoral care, and service to the church.

Help Shape Our Community’s Future

Churches have an important role in the well-being of Rochester. Through the Alliance, ministers can work together on concerns affecting children, families, neighborhoods, and public safety, while building relationships with community partners.

Put Your Gifts to Work

Your experience, ideas, and willingness to serve can help move the Alliance forward. Whether your strengths are teaching, outreach, mentoring, organizing, or community engagement, there is meaningful work to which you can contribute.

Be Part of a Continuing Legacy

With roots reaching back to the mid-1960s, BMA carries a tradition of ministers coming together for faith, fellowship, and community service. Joining the Alliance is an opportunity to help carry that work into its next chapter.

Who Can Join?

We welcome inquiries from pastors, licensed ministers, and ordained ministers serving churches and congregations throughout Greater Rochester and surrounding communities.

Although our heritage is Baptist, clergy from other Christian denominations are welcome to seek membership.

Applicants must provide evidence of their call to ministry and service to a church or congregation, agree to abide by the Alliance’s Constitution and By-Laws, and be accepted through the membership process.

Come Ready to Connect and Contribute

Active membership means participating in fellowship, supporting the work of the Alliance, honoring membership responsibilities, and bringing your gifts to the table.

You do not have to pastor a large congregation or have decades of experience to make a meaningful contribution. We value ministers who are willing to learn, build relationships, and serve.

Take the First Step

Visit a membership meeting, meet the brethren, and learn more about our work. Express your interest, ask questions, and speak with Alliance leadership about the membership process and current dues.

Bring your calling. Bring your experience. Bring your willingness to serve. Let’s strengthen our churches and our community together.

Express Interest in Membership
